Asakusa 1 1

Yoshiwara (吉よし原わら 東とう京きょう Yoshiwara Tōkyō) is an area in Tokyo, Japan, that is home to the Entertainment District Arc’s headquarters. It is a red light district, which means it is densely populated with prostitutes and sex businesses.

It is unknown when Tokyo’s Yoshiwara District was founded. Tengen Uzui initially mentions the site when he examines an allegation of a Demon in the district. He sends his three wives Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru to attempt to obtain information after failing to do so during a customer visit.

After losing contact with his wives, Tengen travels to the neighborhood with the Demon Slayers in an attempt to infiltrate a second time. The Tokito house, the Kyogoku house, and the Ogimoto house are three recognised brothels (or homes) in the district. Yoshiwara also has a Kirimise sub-sector where courtesans who are underperforming or sick are taken to live. Tengen delivers Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira to their respective homes (dressed as girls).Tengen allows the boys to study Yoshiwara for demonic activity as each youngster conducts his own inquiry.
