Tanjiro Kamado and Tengen Uzui vs. Gyutaro is a fight that took place in Yoshiwara, Tokyo. It focuses on the battle between the demon slayer Tanjiro Kamado and the son Hashira Tengen Uzui against the Upper Rank Six Gyutaro.

Prologue
Daki’s head was successfully severed by Tengen. Tanjiro is both relieved and surprised that Tengen cut off his head almost effortlessly. Tengen then scolds Tanjiro that the fight isn’t over yet, and that he needs to do something with Nezuko to calm her down. He then suggests that Tanjiro sing her something like a lullaby to calm her down and bring her back to her normal state. Nezuko then leaps back with Tanjiro behind him, destroying the window behind them and knocking them both to the ground. Tanjiro realizes that no matter how hard he tries to reach Nezuko, it’s just futile. He then begs his late mother to tell him what he should do. Tanjiro then remembers Tengen’s suggestion, which was to sing him a soothing lullaby. He recalls a memory from the past, where their mother tended to sing him a lullaby-like melody. Tanjiro begins to sing said melody to Nezuko, in an effort to appease her.
Nezuko’s failing conscience remembers when she was still young and her mother sang her a lullaby. She starts crying after Tanjiro sings her the lullaby, slowly closes her eyes and falls asleep. When the young demon slayer realizes that his younger sister is fast asleep, a sense of comfort blossoms in his heart, crying out that she has now calmed down and fallen asleep with her former living mother. The scene cuts back to Tengen, where he leaves Daki, knowing that she will disintegrate entirely in a moment or two. Daki orders the healthy Hashira to stand still, telling her that she dares to behead her and will make her pay for it. The Tengen, annoyed, advises him to stop complaining, reminding her that he has nothing more to do with her and that she will die an unflamboyant death very soon. This irritates her even more, so Daki tells her to stop joking and reminds her of the time he called her an unfactual member of the Kizuki. Tengen replies that she’s not really one, prompting her to grumble even more, telling her that she is in a frantic pace. Despite this, Tengen still doesn’t believe she’s one of them and asks how he was able to decapitate her as easily as a standard demon’s head. Daki replies that such things do not taint her loss and once again asserts that she is indeed a Kizuki member – causing Tengen to say that she lost the battle anyway. She then makes an effort to push back his argument by reciting once more that she rests in one of the degrees of the Kizuki, more precisely in the sixth row. She tells him that this is just a stepping stone for her and that she will be even stronger from now on. Despite everything, her words do not convince Tengen who only sees her as a bluff.

Daki starts bawling and repeats that she really is, indeed, High Rank 6, and even has the engraved number to prove it. This startles Tengen, who wonders how long she will cry, because she is now throwing a tantrum. On top of that, he becomes skeptical that his body isn’t starting to crumble like a normal demon would. Daki cries while shouting that his head has been cut off, supposedly in the direction of his big brother.
After a while, an abnormal figure emerges from Daki’s body, Tengen rushes towards it to use his blades to take it down. Daki and the figure suddenly find themselves on her back, without her noticing, which calms her down. The sonorous Hashira then wonders what could have come out of his back and fascinates with his astonishing reaction speed. Tengen perceives Daki with his head connected back into his body, quickly making an effort to punch the figure once more. All of a sudden, the figure attacks back – being behind the Hashira with unsuspected speeds. Luckily, Tengen repelled his attack and was unharmed. He then comments on Tengen’s ability as not bad at all, reminding him that he intended to kill Tengen at that exact moment with that one hit.
As Tengen looks towards his back, the fight between the Hashira and the Higher Rank Auxiliary begins.

Battle
The high-ranking man first admires Tengen’s face, which has beautiful skin with no blemishes, birthmarks, or previous wounds. He comments that Tengen must be popular with women as he is seething with envious emotions. Commenting on this, he wishes for the Hashira sound to drop dead so he can rip out his insides. Daki interrupts their conversation by asking her brother to kill the girl who burned her explaining that she tried very hard to try to kill the Demon Slayers but they kept “abusing” her. After hearing this, the other High Rank gets angry at the Demon Slayers and wants to “get his due”, saying his name is Gyutaro. As soon as he says his name, Gyutaro launches his two sickles at Tengen and the two civilians he is covering. Outside the building where they are, Tanjiro sees the destruction and the two sickles that Gyutaro threw boomerang back at him. Soon after, Tanjiro sees Zenitsu and Inosuke in sight.
Gyutaro witnesses a couple being defended by the Sain Hashira, which makes him even more envious as they worship Tengen by saving their lives. Tengen even remarks that he has three different wives who adore him. This angers Gyutaro, he scratches and releases his Blood Demon Art: Flying Blood Sickles to the Hashira sound. The latter dodges the attack by destroying the ground on which he and the two civilians are with his sound breathing, first form: Roar which saves them from the initial attack. He asks the couple to flee the fight, which they do. Gyutaro applauds the Hashira’s effort but says he can’t get away with it if he “commands” his sickles to turn. His Blood Demon Art turns abnormally downward in Tengen’s direction with him swinging his blades to nullify them. He realizes that the Higher Rank can control the sickles themselves and that they don’t stop until they reach their target. He also thinks to himself that Daki didn’t die when she was beheaded, and that they are both siblings, him being the taller, he wonders if if he beheads Gyutaro, they will both die . Either way, he motivates himself to do his best in any case. Knowing that no citizens are present in the building, he squeezes out tiny black beads between his fingers and throws them into the air. He slices them in half, causing a huge explosion that knocks back even Inosuke and Zenitsu despite being outside the building. Gyutaro notices and tells Tengen that he is different from all the other Hashira he has faced before, believing he was lucky to be born with talent. Tengen makes fun of him because he believes he has some kind of talent. He then exclaims in front of the two high-ups that since so many people he loved were taken away from him, he has no talent, even saying that he can never be as glorious as Kyojuro Rengoku.

Gyutaro then asks the Hashira of Sound how he is still alive since his blood sickles inflict deadly poison, and no matter how much of a delay, no adverse symptoms appeared. Tengen then explains that he is a shinobi/ninja, so he has developed poison resistance to some degree. Daki exclaims that all shinobi died out during the Edo period, believing he is lying. He denies that shinobi still exist today as he had nine siblings as well as his “clan” led by his father. Tengen then remembers Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s praise of him and his choices. Gyutaro then sees and thinks the poison is working and Tengen is “bluffing” about it. However, Tengen insists that he is in great shape and wants to dance with the top brass.
The Sound Hashira engages the two demons by swinging his Nichirin Cleavers, hitting Daki with an upward side kick and blocking Gyutaro’s Blood Sickles. He then throws more black beads towards the two high-ups, which explode the moment they come into contact with their weapons. With Daki in the epicenter of the blast, Tengen faces Gyutaro attacking him. Gyutaro believes that the explosions have enough force to hurt demons and go off at the slightest touch. He then sees Tengen extending the range of his attacks by grabbing the end of his other blade. But he reflected his momentum with one of his blood sickles and cocked his head to the side to avoid the blow, receiving only a light scratch on his neck.
Gyutaro then tells Hashira that he noticed the poison is now taking effect and has already slowed his movements. With that in mind, he further encourages the higher-ups who are getting closer and closer to victory.
