Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado vs Giyu Tomioka is a fight between the Kamado siblings, Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado and Demon Slayer Corps member, Giyu Tomioka.

Prologue
Most of the Kamado family members have been killed by a demon, and Tanjiro discovers that his sister Nezuko is the sole survivor. He attempts to take her down the mountain to find a doctor, but she wakes up and shoves them out of the way. They fall into a snowy forest where Tanjiro discovers that Nezuko has become a demon despite being born human.
Nezuko tries to feed on Tanjiro but he sticks a hatchet in her mouth as she tackles him to the ground. His demonic form grows but Tanjiro begs Nezuko until his humanity cries out, pouring tears down Tanjiro’s face. As the skirmish seems over, a mysterious hunter appears and attempts to kill Nezuko with a katana. Tanjiro gets her out of the way in time and only her hair is partially cut.
The hunter interrogates Tanjiro and quickly takes Nezuko hostage. The hunter explains that he is a demon slayer and is going to kill Nezuko. Tanjiro begs him not to, asking him not to take away his last remaining family member. Annoyed by Tanjiro’s pathetic attitude, the killer gets angry and begins to berate him. He tells Tanjiro that his family was slaughtered because he was weak and that crawling will never work with demons. In reality, the hunter blames himself for not having arrived at the mountain in time to save the humans. He yells at Tanjiro to help him forge his resolve so he can finally save his sister and avenge his family.
Battle
The Demon Slayer thrusts his sword into Nezuko, causing Tanjiro to act by throwing a stone which his opponent is forced to deflect. Tanjiro grabs his hatchet and spins around his target, using the trees as cover. He throws another stone passing near a tree but the hunter easily dodges it.
Tanjiro charges straight at the hunter, and the latter believes it to be a frontal attack driven purely by emotion. Disappointed, the hunter knocks the boy out using the hilt of his sword. After knocking out Tanjiro, the hunter notices that his hatchet is missing. He looks up and is almost decapitated by the weapon flying through the air.
Giyu understands that Tanjiro must have thrown the hatchet along with the second rock. He hid his hands pretending to attack to trick Giyu into thinking he was unarmed. Unlike before, the Demon Slayer is impressed with the boy’s determination to save his sister, attempting to bring down his opponent after falling in battle.

Nezuko wriggles out of Giyu’s grip and kicks him away. She walks towards Tanjiro, forcing Giyu to believe that she will try to devour him. However, Giyu is shocked when Nezuko protects her brother despite turning into a demon. The hunter ponders Nezuko’s state of mind as he dodges an attack from the new demon. He restrains her using only her hands and assumes that because she decided to protect her brother rather than eat him, these siblings must be truly unique.
Nezuko jumps from a tree and attempts to attack Giyu’s head. The latter sheathes his sword and uses a powerful ax to knock him out.
Continuation of the fight
Tanjiro wakes up to find that he and Nezuko are both unharmed. Giyu tells her to find a man named Sakonji Urokodaki who lives at the foot of Sagiri Mountain. Before disappearing, Giyu tells Tanjiro to keep Nezuko out of direct sunlight.
Tanjiro returns home to bury his family and bid them a final farewell. Afterwards, Tanjiro and Nezuko begin their long journey to return Nezuko to normal.
