Summa | Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba
Suma (須す磨ま Suma?) is a supporting character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is a kunoichi and one of Tengen Uzui’s wives.

Appearance
Suma is a small, curvaceous young woman. She has shoulder-length black hair with short bangs on her forehead, and round, sapphire blue eyes framed by short lashes and thin, raised eyebrows, giving her a friendly and jovial appearance.

Suma wears a short, black (blue in the anime), sleeveless dress with a plunging neckline that exposes her cleavage, which is secured by a light-colored (grey in the anime) obi where she presumably stores her kunai. She wears gray ankle-high tabi socks and white zōri with blue suspenders.
Personality
Suma crying after Tengen congratulates her.

Suma’s personality is particularly similar to that of Zenitsu Agatsuma, expressing overdramatic and exaggerated emotions in virtually every situation she finds herself in, while exuding a fearful and unconfident attitude when it comes to dangerous situations, as well as a tendency to cry, which is seen when she bursts into tears whenever the Demon Obi launches his furious attacks, or after Tengen Uzui praises her , clutching the latter’s uniform in crying.

Story
At some point in his life, Suma married Tengen Uzui , along with Makio and Hinatsuru. After she left the clan, her family traveled to Kagaya Ubuyashiki to fight in the Demon Slayer Corps.
At some point in the past, Suma was instructed alongside Makio and Hinatsuru by Tengen on his personal ideology: putting their own lives first, then respectable humans, and finally himself. Later, when Makio questioned this principle privately, as it went against what they had been taught as kunoichi, Hinatsuru assured her that as long as she was okay with it, Tengen would also approve of it. She also wanted all four of them to withdraw from the front line as soon as they defeated a High Rank.

Synopsis
Entertainment District Arc
While investigating the Entertainment District, Suma was assigned as the oiran at the Tokito house. However, during the investigation, she disappeared and lost contact with Tengen Uzui . When Tanjiro arrives in disguise at the Tokito house, he hears the rumor that Suma ran off with a wealthy suitor from his diary, but he immediately has second thoughts, sensing that something more sinister is going on.

Later in the arc, Inosuke Hashibira begins to search for the demon and comes across a cavern with a hanging obi holding several people captive. As he begins his assault, he manages to free several captives including Suma and Makio. The two women defend the released prisoners from being reabsorbed while Inosuke fights the obi. Just then a loud clap of thunder is heard from the top of the cave, and Tengen bursts through the ceiling, effectively slicing through large portions of the obi. He lets the two women know that he is proud of them, which causes them to cry with emotion.

Infinity Castle Arc
Suma warns Tengen and Shinjuro Rengoku that Nezuko Kamado has escaped from the Ubayashiki residence and kicked down a door.

Abilities
General Abilities: Suma does not possess any form of superhuman ability. However, as she was raised as a kunoichi, Suma possesses some form of shinobi skill, being able to wield a kunai as well as perform maneuvers and combat far more effectively than ordinary people.

Equipment
Standard Kunai: As a kunoichi, Suma carries dozens of standard black kunai with her for combat, two of which she uses in melee combat and the others as ranged projectiles.

Triviality
- Suma’s name is made up of the kanji for “must, by all means” (須 su?) and “grind, polish” (磨 ma?).
- According to the second fanbook, Suma is bisexual.
- According to the second fanbook, Suma’s sister was actually Tengen Uzui’s promised wife, but Suma wanted to be Tengen ‘s wife instead. Her feelings caused her to skip the wedding interview to be married to Tengen .
- Hinatsuru and Makio were personal additions that Tengen and Suma were happy to welcome.
