The Spider Demon (Father) (蜘く蛛も鬼おに「父ちち」 Kumo oni: Chichi?) was a member of the spider family.
Appearance
Father Spider Demon was, physically, the tallest of his “family”. His skin was dark brown, with the same red dot pattern extending from his shoulders down his arms as the rest of his family. Like his “wife” and “children”, Father Spider Demon also had long pale white hair that fell to his shoulders. His most unique trait was that his face resembled that of a gigantic spider with multiple eyes and spider claws in both of his cheeks.
When it molts, it acquires green skin with blade-like protrusions protruding from its arms and legs. She lost all her hair and gained sharper teeth and more pronounced mandibles. After the Spider Demon (Daughter) calls him, the Spider Demon Father lands in front of Tanjiro Kamado and Inosuke Hashibira. He angrily tells them to get away from his family and attacks them with a fierce punch. He easily blocks Tanjiro’s Water Breathing technique, Second Form: Tanjiro’s Water Wheel, and attempts to retaliate with another punch, but Inosuke’s two swords block his arms. He throws the two Demon Slayers off of him, immediately charging and attacking Tanjiro while repeating his previous request. Inosuke tries to attack him from behind, but he is immediately hit. The Spider Demon continues its attack on the Boar-Headed Demon Hunter, but is pinned down by a tree that Tanjiro cut down. He recovers quickly, using the tree to crush his attacker away.
Later, as Inosuke ponders his next move, the Demon Father attacks him, shattering the tree he was leaning against. Startled by his opponent’s quick retreat, the Paternal Demon blocks the strike, but gets his forearm cut off when Inosuke uses his two blades. After briefly examining his stump, the Demon Father retreats, climbs a tree, sheds his skin, and assumes a new form. He then descends from the tree, ready to resume the fight.
Towering over his stunned opponent, the Demon Father lands a very powerful punch, followed almost immediately by another blow, which Inosuke avoids by leaping into the air. Inosuke attempts to sever the Spider Demon’s neck with his Beast Breath, Third Fang: Devour, but his blades shatter on contact. The Demon Father immediately counterattacks, knocking his opponent into another tree, then grabs the Demon Slayer by the throat. Readying another punch while strangling his opponent, the Demon Father once again repeats his request, only to be stabbed in the throat by his resisting opponent. Undeterred, he tightens his grip on the young man’s throat, only to have his forearm severed once again, this time by the arrival of Giyu Tomioka. Screaming in pain, the Demon Father immediately pushes him away and charges at Giyu. His attack and existence are quickly erased when Giyu hits him with Water Blast, Fourth Form: Striking Tide, slicing his neck and cutting him into several pieces.
