The Rehabilitation Training arc is the sixth arc of Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Synopsis
Tanjiro is brought before the Hashira and put on trial for traveling with his demonic sister Nezuko. Tanjiro tries to explain his situation, but the Hashira don’t accept it; All except Giyu, who also broke the rules by protecting Nezuko. The Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, is the one who refutes Tanjiro the most and even goes so far as to injure Nezuko for being a demon, stabbing her three times through her wooden box.
The master of the mansion, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, arrives and asks the Hashira to pardon the Kamado siblings. A letter was sent by Sakonji (the ex-Hashira of water), explaining the situation and asking the Demon Slayer Corps to override it, even saying that he and Giyu will also commit seppuku (re-actualized suicide) if Nezuko harms humans. Although Mitsuri Kanroji (the Hashira of Love) is very compassionate towards the siblings, Shinobu also expresses some sympathy, and Muichiro Tokito (the Hashira of Mist) is rather indifferent, the others still adamantly refuse to accept him. and tell Kagaya. After the trial concludes, Shinobu brings Tanjiro and Nezuko to the Butterfly Mansion, where Zenitsu and Inosuke also tend to their injuries. The Hashira begin their counseling with Master Kagaya, while the other Demon Slayers heal. After their injuries are sufficiently treated, Tanjiro and the boys undergo rehabilitation training under the tutelage of Aoi Kanzaki, one of the mansion’s nurses, and Shinobu’s apprentice, Kanao Tsuyuri (the girl who pursued Nezuko and Tanjiro at Mount Natagumo).
Tanjiro also learns about Shinobu’s past with a demon that killed his sister. At first, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke struggle to train, unable to beat Kanao in any form. Eventually, the boys regain their stamina and master Total Concentration: Constant, the ability to use the breathing technique all day and all night.
After their training is complete, Tanjiro’s group heads west to join the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, for the train mission. Meanwhile, Muzan dismantles the lower ranks and continues his plans to crush the Demon Slayer Corps.
