About Murata

Murata is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps who was sent to Natagumo Mountain. One of the survivors of the operation to kill the Spider Family, he befriends Tanjiro and appears on a few other occasions throughout the series.

Murata’s story

Before becoming a demon slayer, Murata’s family was killed by demons. Since he no longer had any living relatives, he joined the Demon Slayer Corps.

Murata’s history before his mission to Natagumo Mountain is unknown, but like most early Demon Slayers sent to the mountain, he had a fairly low rank.

Murata was in the same final selection as Sabito and Giyu. Despite this, he claims to have many differences with him.

Personality of Murata

Not much is known about Murata’s personality, but he seems braver than most, continuing to fight atop Mount Natagumo even after his entire group has been wiped out.

Abilities and Powers of Murata

Murata is a water breath user, however, for Murata water is too weak to be seen.

Although not of the same caliber as Tanjiro or Inosuke, Murata’s prowess is superior to that of his team, as evidenced by the fact that he is their only survivor (although he was aided by several characters ). His help in dealing with his manipulated comrades was essential in buying Tanjiro and Inosuke time to defeat the Demonic Mother Spider. As the puppets had their powers increased through the Art of the Blood Demon, his ability to hold them back is a testament to his above average performance. He also managed to reach the final stage of Hashira’s training program, which hardly any member could do.
