RELEASE DATE AND INFO
Much like for other popular anime before their big comebacks, release dates are often kept patently vague. However, in case of Demon slayer, we have several other credible sources at our hands that have brushed off most of our curiosity away. As per the official announcement, the new season is expected to air this year, in 2021. Other sources have narrowed it down to October 2021 for us or sometime in the fall season.
Adding to our list of good news, July 13th at 7 pm JST “Kimetsu Tv New information announcement Special” on YouTube channel Aniplex, starring our favorite voice actors, Tanjiro’s and Tengen Uzui’s specifically, are expected to unveil some information regarding Demon slayer season 2 release date.
Demon Slayer season 2 trailer is available on YouTube for anyone willing to watch. Tengen Uzui and sound Hashira make a prominent appearance in the new trailer, hinting towards their possible significant roles in the upcoming season, just like flame Hashira had one in the recent movie, although we’re hoping this time, we won’t have to face any harsh ends.
HOW IMPORTANT IS THE MOVIE- MUGEN TRAIN?
Mugen Train holds extreme relevance to the series itself. “Entertainment district arc” from the manga is expected to be incorporated into the anime series, which in the source material leads to events that occur after Mugen Train. This tells us it is important to stream the movie first unless you want to meet spoilers or miss out on a big chunk of the plot.
Spoiler Alert: For those of you who haven’t seen the movie yet, it is recommended that you do so. Below we will be discussing the expected plot of the upcoming season, although the discussion is light on spoilers regarding the sequel, the areas discussing Mugen Train specifically might contain some spoilers.
Welcoming the people who decided to read the spoilers as well, we will now shed some light on the things that went down in the anime. As we have seen, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke are summoned to their first mission as part of the demon slayer corps at the end of season one with flame Hashira being tasked with accompanying the trio in their journey along with Nezuko.
The events in Mugen Train are the continuation of the aftermath, with the trio coming face to face with the lower one of the 12 Demon Moons. The dramatic fights lead to a drastic end in the movie, leaving Tanjiro, the Hashira, and the rest of the demon slayer corps to deal with the repercussions of the movie in the expected second season.
In the Demon slayer season 2 trailer, we are shown that the initial group from the movie is heading to Yoshiwara, a deadly town, home to demons. Now, with the sound Hashira in action, we might as well expect exciting and dangerous battles between Tanjiro and stronger demons.
ANY FUTURE SURPRISES?

Demon slayer’s manga, being the tenth best-selling manga of all time, coupled with the fact that the show hit Netflix just last year has laid down a huge ground for the show to continue airing for a long time. With such an expanded fanbase, Demon Slayer is expected to become a huge part of pop culture and as fans, we are delighted that we probably will experience many potential spin-offs. After season one, the road to historic popularity and high ratings for Demon Slayer has just started and much more is yet to witness.
WHERE CAN I WATCH DEMON SLAYER SEASON 2?

Sadly, for the west, Demon Slayer Season 2 is yet to find an official home. However, since the first season made it to many popular anime-streaming platforms like Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and Netflix, it’s not unlikely to expect its season 2 to hit the same platforms once again.
Expect Crunchyroll and Funimation to be the first in this service, and give you the subbed versions shortly after it airs in Japan. However, for Netflix, the show might take longer to air.
CONCLUSION

Demon slayer season 2 trailer has shown that the series will likely break a few records again in terms of streaming. Given that it has already bagged so much popularity coupled with an incredible movie; both of them work in the general interest of the expected consumption rate.
