Fuku | Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba

Fuku (福ふく Fuku?) was a bento vendor at a train station supporting the Mugen train.

Fuku is a small girl, with long dark brown hair worn in a braid down her back. Her eyes are a dark purple that fades to lower purple, with white, square irises.

Fuku wears a plain red and brown haori over a white collared shirt, along with a white apron, which appears to be the uniform of the bento shop where she works. She also wears a tawny peaked beret and a pair of large round glasses.

Fuku is a relatively polite girl, although she is often stressed about finances and work. She thinks she has to work hard to support her parents because their business isn’t doing very well, which her grandmother tells her only adults should worry about.

She is also convinced that demons don’t exist and refuses to go to bed because her grandmother thinks they are vulnerable to demon attacks at night. However, once Kyojuro Rengoku kills Slasher before her eyes, she rectifies this belief and apologizes to her grandmother for doubting what she said.

At a train station, Fuku complains about another night without anyone buying his bento boxes. Upset that she hasn’t been able to raise money to help her parents, she struggles to eat her bean paste bun, her grandmother trying to encourage her by telling her she could sell them there. afternoon, since demons only roam at night. News of a killer’s recent nighttime attacks has his town fearful of going out after dark. Fuku rejects her advice, claiming that demons don’t exist and worrying about her pregnant mother’s inability to work and her father’s struggles. As they close the shop, her grandmother tries to stay to sell bentos at night, but Fuku fears the killer will catch her.

Sitting on the ground and staring at her food, she is encountered by Kyojuro Rengoku , the Flame Hashira sent to alleviate the problem. He asks her bluntly if she has seen a demon somewhere, before asking the same question to her grandmother. Fuku stands up and angrily claims there is no demon here, throwing his bean bun at the Hashira. After being reassured by her grandmother that Kyojuro meant no harm, Fuku apologizes and says that she is tensed because of the recent news affecting everyone. Kyōjuro reassures her that they can continue doing business overnight and that he will fix the problem. When she tries to sell him bento boxes, he enthusiastically buys them all.

Later that night, Fuku and her grandmother arrive at the next station to set up their stall. As she finishes the final touches, Fuku hears something and turns around to see a marked demon, telling her that her death will be Hashira’s fault. As she staggers in fear, Fuku’s grandmother hits the demon with a bento box, momentarily distracting it with the smell and giving it time to run away. Although she manages to get out of the station, the demon grabs her throat and tries to kill her. Just then, Kyojuro arrives and severs the demon’s Achilles tendon, thus saving Fuku. Incredulous at what she has just seen, she realizes that her grandmother is now all alone. She looks at Kyojuro confront and decapitate the demon in an instant, thus saving her. Fuku soon hears her grandmother choking as she remembers the time she was saved by the Hashira Flame, saving Fuku’s mother as well. Fuku apologizes to her grandmother for her disdain for demons, but Kyojuro happily replies that it’s for the best that she doesn’t believe in them. The two are then treated by Kakushi who arrives on the scene.

Later, at sunset, they start selling bento boxes to Mugen train passengers when they encounter Kyojuro again . His grandmother gives him a beef bento box as a thank you for saving them. Kyojuro gladly accepts the offer and tries to pay, but Fuku tells him he can have them for free. Kyojuro then takes all of his reserve. Before he embarks, they wish the Hashira luck on his mission. Shortly after, Fuku attempts to sell bento boxes to the first class carriage when she hears a loud noise. She sees a boar-headed fighter headbutt on the train and get scolded by a young man dressed in yellow, much to her dismay.

As an ordinary human, she does not possess any additional powers or abilities.
