To commemorate the anime series’ third anniversary, two special events featuring the Demon Slayer cast will be streamed globally.

On the series’ third anniversary, Sony Music Solutions has announced that fans throughout the world will be able to see two of the events from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. The two livestreams will feature a special live reading of an original story by voices from the anime, one dedicated to the Mugen Train arc and the other to the Entertainment District arc. Subtitles in English and Traditional Chinese will be available. Each livestream will need the purchase of a ticket, which costs 4,120 yen (about $30 at today’s currency rate). Friday, April 15 at 11:00 p.m. PDT, the Entertainment District event will take place first, followed by the Mugen Train webcast on Saturday, April 16 at 11:00 p.m. PDT. More information on each event may be found here.

Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will all take part in the two live readings (Inosuke Hashibira). Satoshi Hino, the voice of Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, will take part in the Mugen Train’s live playback. Exclusively at the Entertainment District Arc event, Katsuyuki Konishi, who represents the beloved Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, will appear.

Both of these events are part of the celebrations commemorating the third anniversary of the debut of the Demon Slayer anime. This popular shonen series is produced by Ufotable, the animation studio best known for its work on Bandai Namco’s Tales series of RPGs and multiple entries in the Fate/stay Night franchise. The series began in Japan on April 6, 2019, and quickly became one of the most popular anime series in the world. Following the first season of the series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train debuted in 2020 and became the highest-grossing anime film of all time. The anime’s second season premiered in late 2021, and it was mostly based on an adaptation of the manga’s popular Entertainment District arc. The season was praised by critics for its high-quality animation and intricate action choreography. The production of a third season has been announced.

Demon Slayer was the brainchild of the manga author, Koyoharu Gotouge and started off in 2016. With over 150 million copies in print worldwide, the series has become one of the most popular Shonen Jump franchises in recent years.

Both seasons of the anime are available to stream on Crunchyroll, and the manga series is now available in English via VIZ Media.
