Studio Ufotable released a brand new trailer showing that the Demon Slayer anime will be adapted. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s “Swordsmith Village” storyline will be adapted for a future season of the popular anime. After Demon Slayer Corps fighter Hotaru Haganezuka becomes tired of mending his sword, Tanjiro Kamado journeys to the famed Swordsmith Village to replace it. The news for season 3 comes right after the end of season 2, the last episode of which aired on February 13.
Mist Hashira is featured in two new pieces of crucial visual art in the announcement teaser. Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, who played small roles in the film but will play crucial ones in the arc to come. In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibara will accompany Tanjiro on his journey to the Swordsman Village.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is set in Taisho-era Japan, and the earth is populated by demons, deadly ancient people who have sacrificed their humanity in exchange for superhuman abilities such as strength, magic, and regeneration. One of these animals slaughters Tanjiro Kamado’s whole family, save for his small sister Nezuko, who survives by transforming into a demon herself. The series centers on the two siblings, as Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Investigation Corps to find a way to turn Nezuko back into a human, while tracking down the demon responsible for attacking his family.
Because of its intriguing tale and characters, detailed setting, and spectacular action scenes, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been very popular since it began serialisation in February 2016. With more than 150 million copies in print, it is the ninth best-selling manga series of all time, and the franchise generated nearly 1 trillion yen in yearly commercial revenue in 2020. The first season of Demon Slayer The Anime won “Anime of the Year” award at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The sequel of the anime named Demon Slayer: Mugen Train grossed over $503 million worldwide, securing the place of the highest-grossing movie.
Season 3 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s premiere date has yet to be determined. Along with the movie, all seasons of the series are available to watch on Funimation, Hulu, and Crunchyroll.
