The Ufotable company has released a new trailer for Demon Slayer’s third season, which follows Tanjiro Kamado’s adventures in Swordsmith Village.

The trailer starts with a summary of the anime’s prior events, followed by clips from the most memorable scenes from each season. A new blank scroll appears when the camera approaches the end of the final scroll, which shows scenes from the anime’s most recent arc, the “Entertainment District” arc, hinting that Tanjiro’s adventure is far from ended. The trailer ends with previously unseen footage from the upcoming season, showing Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, and the creation of Tanjiro’s new blade.

Tanjiro will travel to the legendary Swordsman Village in this new season to replace his sword after Hotaru Haganezuka, the Demon Slayer Corps swordsman, became tired of repairing it. Despite their small roles in the tale thus far, Muichiro and Mitsuri will play major roles in the forthcoming arc. Fans will also be able to see the core cast of the series return, as Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibara will all accompany Tanjiro on his upcoming adventure.

Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotoge is set in a hypothetical Taisho-era Japan infested by demons, vicious former humans who traded their humanity for supernatural abilities like strength, magic, and regeneration. After his entire family is slaughtered by one of these demons, Tanjiro Kamado experiences firsthand the horror of these animals. Despite the fact that her younger sister Nezuko survived the attack, she was transformed into a demon as a result of it. Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Investigation Corps, a group dedicated to killing all demons, driven by his desire to restore his humanity to Nezuko. With new skills and weapons at his belt, Tanjiro travels the world to find a cure for Nezuko, while hunting the demon responsible for his family’s death.

The release date for Season 3 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has yet to be determined. Seasons 1 and 2 of the anime, as well as the first-season sequel Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, are available to view on Funimation, Hulu, and Crunchyroll.
