Crying anime characters are typically utilised to give comic relief, and they’re more often than not bothersome to others. Some anime characters are simply trapped in a constant display of emotions. These folks aren’t merely aware of their feelings; their feelings control every aspect of their lives. Characters who cry a lot aren’t necessarily crybabies. On the contrary, a character is a whiner when he constantly complains, crumbles under pressure, and cannot deal with even the smallest annoyances.
The whiny anime characters become the comedic mainspring of the show, but often they’re just plain boring. Their constant whining can derail an entire plot, and their cowardly behavior can cause problems for other characters.
Usopp is the weakest Straw Hat Pirate
Even if his life depended on it, he is incapable of thinking under duress, and he frequently lies like a tooth-puller to avoid uncomfortable situations. Usopp frequently weeps and loses his cool in milliseconds.

Sailor Moon’s Usagi is an adorable crybaby
Sailor Moon’s Usagi is aware of her whiny tendencies. She even identified herself as such in the first few seconds of the anime. She comes across as a big bum in addition to being a whiner. Both of these characteristics were rapidly demonstrated in the series.
Usagi’s tears serve as comic relief throughout Sailor Moon. Usagi’s tears come out in a spectacular stream, like a geyser, rather than a stream of tears or even a waterfall. Fortunately for Usagi, those tears came in helpful more than once. Due to her crying when she transitioned into Sailor Moon, she blasted supersonic waves that badly damaged a few enemies.
Thunder McQueen constantly cries
Thunder McQueen was a minor character in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean. He’s a suicidal inmate of the rue du Dauphin Vert prison.
Thunder breaks down in tears in a way that would humiliate anyone else when Ermes confronts him after he steals his money. Ermes’ only action was to ask him if he was okay, which prompted Thunder to blast him once more. He raves about a woman loving him, but that quickly ends when he starts crying again because he realizes that will never happen. Looks like Thunder is self-aware of how pathetic he is.
Shinji managed to cry in every episode of the prologue
Neon Genesis Evangelion’s Shinji is one of the most notable whiners in all of anime. He is often upset and has great difficulty coping with social situations. Of course, Shinji has many reasons for expressing his melancholy so frequently.
First, he comes from a solitary background and lacks meaningful social connections. Moreover, he saw his own mother die before his eyes. He also has many insecurities. Overall, Shinji is quite an emotionally unstable man who has trouble letting go of his baggage. In the prologue arc, he averaged at least one emotional breakdown per episode.
Zenitsu is fully aware that he is a crybaby
Unless he’s fallen into a deep sleep, Demon Slayer’s Zenitsu Agatsuma carries his emotions at arm’s length. When he is awake, he prefers to focus on his own survival rather fighting demons. Zenitsu is acutely conscious of his own cowardice. He admits that rather than confronting danger head-on, he invariably tears and whines.
Zenitsu‘s whiny tendencies have certainly given fans of the series several opportunities for comedic relief. He’s like a cat on a hot iron roof most of the time because of his anxiety, and it seems his tears are always bubbling beneath the surface. Regardless of any criticism fans may have of Zenitsu ‘s ridiculous behavior , at least his self-awareness should be respected. Zenitsu knows he’s an emotional disaster, but at least he admits it.
Takemichi Hanagaki isn’t called ‘The Crybaby Hero’ for nothing
Takemichi Hanagaki from Tokyo Revengers certainly deserves his title of “Crybaby Hero”. Takemichi’s fury is one of his key qualities, despite internet groups criticising him for crying too often and disturbing the series’ flow. Takemichi’s actions are governed by his feelings.
UUnlike other characters, she does not save her tears until the most important scenes in the program. Takemichi, on the other hand, cries whenever he feels like it. His emotions frequently overtake him, and the horrible experiences he encounters during the novel don’t help matters.
